This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is #BeBoldforChange – where women, men and companies are encouraged to take action to expedite gender parity.
At Conn3cted, we wanted to create a business and culture that supports women, parents and families. We understand the juggling act and demands that women and parents face and provide an environment that is flexible with a healthy work/life balance.
By providing support, we have a positive and flexible work environment that helps promote staff happiness, increase retention and may be one thing that helps attract more young women to grow in the tech industry.
We pride ourselves on the fact that two of our founding partners are both women and mothers. Kelly Lamborn (CIO) and Emily Garcia (CXO) co-founded Conn3cted in 2006 with our CTO Glenn Murray.
In a male dominated industry, we are pleased that we have a management team that is 60% women with the overall team make up being 42% female.
In the 11 years of operating, Conn3cted have also been able to support our staff and their partners through Parental Leave for 17 births and provided part-time opportunities to re-enter the work force. We also give parents the option of bringing their kids into work during school holidays and have been active participants in work experience programs for kids and students.
Conn3cted are being bold for change as we are committed to ensuring this culture continues.
