Recently, we welcomed Marcus to our North Sydney office for a week of work experience, where he got a first-hand look at how custom software comes to life.

A week at Conn3cted in North Sydney
Throughout his time with us, Marcus got to experience the daily rhythm of working in tech. He joined our scrums – short but powerful meetings designed to keep projects on track – and quickly noticed how collaborative the team was.

A big part of Marcus’ week was learning from the people behind the platforms. He spoke with front-end and back-end developers, gaining insights into how each role contributes to creating the software and websites we all use every day.

Hands-on with Little Big Shop
Marcus got hands-on experience too. He spent time working with Little Big Shop, Conn3cted’s e-commerce platform, where he created and customised his own online store.
From branding and colours to adding products and exploring features, Marcus enjoyed seeing how quickly ideas could be brought to life through software.
My favourite part was customising my own shop, showing how ideas are powered by the software we use on the daily.
